The PARKER 59HD-4 is a brass compression tube plug designed to seal the open end of a compression-style tubing line. It terminates a compression fitting run without requiring a mating tube, blocking flow and pressure in the line. Rated to 2100 psi maximum working pressure, this plug handles a wide service temperature range from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F (121 degrees C), making it suitable for demanding fluid and pneumatic system applications. At 0.02 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece fitting installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid-systems mechanics as part of routine service or system modification work.
This plug is used wherever a compression tubing line needs to be capped or temporarily or permanently terminated. Typical applications include HVAC refrigerant line modifications, hydraulic and pneumatic control lines, instrumentation tubing, and general-purpose plumbing where compression fittings are specified. Its brass construction provides corrosion resistance suited to water, air, and a broad range of compatible fluids across both residential and light commercial installations.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tube plug for use with standard compression-style tubing systems in HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, and instrumentation applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or qualified mechanical contractor. Depressurize and isolate the tubing line completely before removing any existing fitting or installing this plug. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the plug body, then apply a controlled additional turn with an appropriate wrench to seat the ferrule without over-compressing it. Verify there are no leaks under operating pressure before returning the system to service.
