The OSG VGM5-0157 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It features a 0.5-inch mill diameter, a 2.25-inch length of cut, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life in high-stress applications. With 5 flutes, a variable index geometry, and a high-helix spiral flute design, this end mill supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The EXO coating provides enhanced thermal resistance and wear protection for extended run times in difficult workpiece materials.

The VGM5-0157 is suited for use in CNC machining centers handling ferrous and exotic alloys. Its 4-inch overall length and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard toolholders used in vertical and horizontal milling setups. Installation Notes

Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended pull-out force or torque specifications for the retention system in use.
