The OSG HP434-3150 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding metal removal applications in professional machining environments. Built to HP434 series standards, it features a 8 mm cutting diameter with a 0.5 mm corner radius, 4 flutes, and a TiAlN PVD coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The 19 mm length of cut and 100 mm overall length make it well suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC programmers operating vertical and horizontal machining centers.
The HP434-3150 is designed for use across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The medium helix geometry and normal pitch support chip evacuation in both slotting and peripheral milling operations. The straight cylindrical shank mounts directly into a standard toolholder. Regular-length classification keeps the tool rigid enough for high-feed passes while maintaining versatility across typical feature depths encountered in job shop and production machining.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting an 8 mm shank diameter with h6 tolerance. Compatible with CNC machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials per OSG HP434 series material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly cleaned before seating the shank. Verify shank clamping torque against the toolholder manufacturer specification before running the program. Confirm cutting direction and spindle rotation are both right-hand before initiating the cut.
