The OSG HP421-7500 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The tool carries a TiAlN finish that improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. With two flutes and a 35-degree right-hand spiral helix, it produces efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention required for ferrous and non-ferrous machining. Installation and setup are performed by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC or manual milling operations.
The HP421-7500 is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in shop and production environments. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its application to pocket milling and ramping operations. The 3/4 inch shank diameter matches standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. This tool is appropriate for both job shop and production floor use where consistent tool life and dimensional accuracy are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling solution for standard 3/4 inch end mill holders, ER collet systems, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is installed by machinists or tooling technicians using appropriate end mill holders or collet chucks rated for the 3/4 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the tool, and torque retention screws or collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Disengage machine power and engage an e-stop or lockout before changing tooling. Do not exceed the toolholder or spindle speed ratings for the selected cutting parameters.
