The OSG HP245-2677 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. It features a 6.80 mm diameter with a 140-degree R-thinned point that promotes self-centering and reduces thrust at entry. The WD1 coating extends tool life in ferrous materials. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a regular spiral flute configuration, this drill handles blind hole, cross hole, and through-hole drilling in production and maintenance environments. It is sized for use with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholding on CNC machining centers and drill presses.

This drill is suited for metalworking applications in job shops, tool rooms, and production floors. Primary workpiece materials are steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. The 8.00 mm straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks common in CNC and manual setups.
