The OSG 3182651 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.2008-inch mill diameter, a 0.8031-inch length of cut, and a 0.2362-inch shank diameter, this tool is built for controlled material removal in tight tolerances. The 40-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, while the WXL coating extends tool life in demanding applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention. This is a single-end, center-cutting tool suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is appropriate for use in general-purpose and precision machining environments, including tool-and-die shops, production machining, and maintenance repair operations. The 2-flute design provides adequate chip clearance for applications where material buildup is a concern. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration follows standard industry convention. It fits into a 0.2362-inch (6.00 mm) collet or tool holder, making it compatible with common ER-style collet systems found on most CNC and manual milling equipment. The overall length of 60 mm suits short-reach setups where rigidity is a priority.
Designed to fit standard 0.2362-inch (6.00 mm) collet or tool holder systems; belongs to OSG Series 3723 with a length-of-cut range of 0.8000 to 1.0000 inches.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Before changing tooling, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state per shop lockout procedures. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge-line depth before torquing the collet nut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use; do not run a damaged carbide tool.
