The OSG 300-0995 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in general machining applications. It cuts to a diameter of 0.0995 inches (wire size 39) with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, making it suitable for close-tolerance bore work where accuracy is critical. The reamer features a straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction. Overall length is 2.25 inches with a 0.625-inch flute length and a straight cylindrical shank. With four flutes and a bright, uncoated finish, this tool is well suited for machinists and toolroom operators working in steel, aluminum, and similar materials.
This chucking reamer fits standard drill press, lathe, and CNC machining center setups where a straight-shank tool holder or drill chuck is used. It is intended for finish reaming of through-holes and blind holes in production and toolroom environments. The solid carbide construction offers rigidity and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel alternatives, making it a practical choice for harder work materials or higher-volume runs. Coolant-through capability is not included, so conventional external coolant or cutting fluid application is standard practice with this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for general machining applications requiring wire size 39 hole finishing in drill press, lathe, or CNC setups using straight-shank tool holders.
Chucking reamers should be installed by qualified machinists using a properly sized collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter. Power down and lock out the machine before securing or removing the tool. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant to prevent tool overheating and to maintain surface finish quality. Do not use this reamer as a drill to remove stock; always pre-drill to within a few thousandths of final size before reaming.
