The NU-CALGON 82400 is a liquid refrigeration system flush cleaner designed to remove oil, sludge, carbon, and other deposits from A/C and refrigeration line sets and internal system components. Sold as a 1-pint refill container, it works with the reusable Turbo-Kleen flushing system, making it a cost-effective option for repeat service calls. The formulation uses 2-Methoxy-1-Methylethyl Acetate as its active solvent, stays chemically active throughout the entire flush cycle, and has a flash point of 115 degrees F. It is used by licensed HVAC and refrigeration technicians performing system maintenance, contamination removal, or compressor replacement prep.
This flush cleaner is suited for residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems where line sets, evaporator coils, or other internal components require decontamination. Typical applications include post-burnout cleanouts, removal of mineral oil residue when retrofitting to synthetic lubricants, and clearing sludge accumulation in older systems. It is also rated for use on oil burner surfaces, machine parts, switches, relays, circuit breakers, motors, and other electrical components where liquid solvent cleaning is appropriate.
Designed for use with the Turbo-Kleen reusable air conditioning and refrigeration system flushing kit. Suitable for A/C and refrigeration line sets, oil burner surfaces, machine parts, switches, relays, circuit breakers, motors, and electrical components where solvent-based liquid flushing is appropriate.
This product should be applied by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician familiar with system flushing procedures. Recover all refrigerant and isolate the section of the system to be flushed before beginning. Observe standard solvent-handling precautions given the 115 degrees F flash point — keep away from open flames and ensure adequate ventilation in the work area. Verify that all flush solvent is fully purged and the system is dry before recharging with refrigerant.
