The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 18307 is a forged brass tee fitting designed for use in compressed air, fuel, and fluid distribution systems where a reliable branch connection is required. It combines a 1/4-inch compression inlet with a 1/8-inch female NPTF port and a 1/8-inch male NPTF port, making it well suited for routing or splitting lines in tight plumbing assemblies. Rated to 300 psi and capable of handling temperatures from -65 to 250 degrees F, this fitting performs across a wide range of service conditions. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration techs routinely use this type of fitting when transitioning between compression and threaded connections on control or instrument lines.
The 18307 is intended for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing in residential and light commercial applications. Typical install scenarios include instrument air lines, fuel supply connections, refrigeration sensing lines, and similar low-diameter branch plumbing where a compression-to-NPT transition is needed in a single body. The compact 0.72-inch body size allows it to fit in confined spaces common to equipment cabinets, control panels, and mechanical rooms.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, and thermoplastic tubing. Suitable for compression-to-NPTF branch connection applications in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and instrumentation systems where 1/4-inch and 1/8-inch line sizes are present.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling or installing any compression fitting. Do not overtighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can deform the ferrule seat if over-torqued. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and is fully seated before tightening. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself; apply thread sealant or tape only as required by local code or system compatibility.
