The MICRO 100 QBB5-3201100X is a solid carbide boring bar designed for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.3400 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.1000 inches, this right-hand cutting tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-diameter bores. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it well suited for compact setups where rigidity and reach must be balanced. Solid carbide construction delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for consistent performance in production and job-shop environments alike.
This boring bar is part of the MICRO 100 Quick Change Right Hand Boring Tools series. It is used in applications requiring precise bore sizing, smooth surface finish, and repeatable results in small-bore work. Typical install scenarios include machining bearing seats, hydraulic valve bores, and other critical-diameter features on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. A 0.0800-inch projection spec makes it appropriate for shallow, controlled cutting passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling solution for quick-change boring tool systems accepting a 3/8-inch shank right-hand boring bar.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists and tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before mounting or removing boring bars. Confirm shank clamp torque meets the toolholder specification and verify runout with a dial indicator before taking cuts. Do not exceed the maximum bore depth rating of 1.1000 inches to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
