The LEVITON TELCOM UPDLC-S02 is a singlemode duplex fiber optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends. It is designed to carry high-bandwidth optical signals over singlemode fiber in structured cabling systems, data centers, telecommunications closets, and enterprise network environments. At 2 meters in length, it provides a compact, low-loss interconnect between active equipment and patch panels. Installation is performed by network technicians and low-voltage cabling professionals working with fiber optic infrastructure.
This patch cable is suited for singlemode fiber runs in both horizontal and backbone cabling applications. The duplex LC-to-LC configuration makes it a standard choice for connecting transceivers, switches, routers, and fiber optic patch panels in data center and telecom room environments. The 2-meter length is practical for short intra-rack or inter-rack connections where cable management and bend radius control are important.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use fiber patch cable for singlemode LC-port equipment including switches, routers, media converters, and fiber optic patch panels in structured cabling installations.
Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Before connecting or disconnecting fiber patch cables, power down or disable the associated optical transceivers to avoid exposure to laser light. Keep dust caps in place on unused connectors and clean ferrules with an appropriate fiber optic cleaning tool prior to mating. Avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius of the cable during routing and dressing.
