The Leviton Telcom MGFT2-HGG is a slim-profile GFCI outlet featuring a Lev-Lok mounting system and tamper-resistant shutters. Designed for ground fault circuit interrupter protection in residential and light commercial wiring applications, this device provides the code-required safety function of shutting off power when a ground fault is detected. The slim form factor allows installation in tighter electrical boxes where standard-depth GFCI receptacles may not fit. It is finished in gray and sold as a single unit. Licensed electricians are the primary installers of this device.
This GFCI outlet is suited for installation in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, basements, outdoor locations, and other areas where the National Electrical Code requires ground fault protection. The Lev-Lok design is intended for use in compatible Lev-Lok wiring devices and systems. The tamper-resistant shutter mechanism helps meet NEC requirements for tamper-resistant receptacles in applicable locations, including areas accessible to children.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation GFCI receptacle for use in Lev-Lok compatible electrical wiring systems where a slim tamper-resistant GFCI device is required.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify zero voltage with a meter before beginning any wiring work. Follow the line and load terminal labeling on the device carefully, as incorrect wiring will prevent proper GFCI protection. Test the GFCI function with the test and reset buttons after installation is complete.
