The LEGRIS 0110 04 00 60 is a brass compression taper nut designed for use in pneumatic and fluid-handling tube fittings. The taper nut threads onto a compression fitting body to compress the ferrule against the tube, creating a secure, leak-resistant seal without soldering or special tooling. Built from brass, it offers solid corrosion resistance for both air and fluid service applications. Rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 degrees F to 210 degrees F, it handles a wide range of service conditions encountered in industrial and mechanical systems. It fits tube with a 4mm outside diameter.
This taper nut is used wherever a compression-style tube connection is required in pneumatic controls, instrumentation lines, or low-to-medium-pressure fluid circuits. Typical installation scenarios include control panel plumbing, compressed air distribution, and hydraulic or fluid-transfer lines where a reliable mechanical tube seal is needed. It is suited for residential and light commercial mechanical systems as well as industrial process piping. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipe fitters commonly install this type of fitting component during new construction or repair of compression tube assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style component for use with compression tube fitting assemblies that accept 4mm outside diameter tubing and a standard taper nut configuration.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial mechanic. Depressurize and isolate the line before removing or installing any compression fitting component. Hand-tighten the taper nut first, then use an appropriately sized open-end wrench to bring the nut to snug — avoid overtightening brass fittings, as excess torque can crack or distort the nut or ferrule. Verify the connection is leak-free under system pressure before returning the line to service.
