The KENNAMETAL 7096300 is a carbide profiling insert designed for precision turning and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to ISO code KCGX110304L15, this left-hand insert carries the KCU10B manufacturer grade and features an AlTiN coating applied via PVD process for improved wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting temperatures. Key dimensional specs include a 0.125 inch thickness, 0.125 inch width, and a 0.40 mm corner radius. With two cutting edges and an NPR/L insert style, it is suited for contour turning, profiling, and grooving in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible toolholders on production turning equipment.
This insert is applied in residential shop, job shop, and production machining environments wherever precise profiling cuts are required on turning centers. The left-hand orientation makes it suitable for specific toolholder configurations requiring left-hand insert geometry.
