The KENNAMETAL 7093411 is a TPG-style indexable turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured from solid carbide with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this insert carries a manufacturer grade of KCU10B, making it suited for demanding turning operations where heat resistance and edge wear are primary concerns. The triangular insert geometry provides three usable cutting edges per insert, reducing per-edge tooling cost. A 11-degree relief angle and 0.0313-inch corner radius define the cutting geometry for this neutral-hand insert. Installation and changeover are performed by licensed machinists and tooling technicians.
This insert is used in external and internal turning applications across general-purpose machining environments, including job shops, production floors, and maintenance machine shops. The TPG insert style fits standard TPG-compatible toolholders. The neutral hand orientation allows use in a range of holder configurations. This insert is installed and indexed by machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before changing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and clamp screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can fracture under improper clamping force. Inspect the insert seat and clamp for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
