The KENNAMETAL 7093249 is a DNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for external turning and profiling operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to grade KCU10B and coated with AlTiN, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of cutting conditions. The diamond insert shape provides a 55-degree included angle, and the neutral hand orientation makes it suitable for both left- and right-hand toolholders. Corner radius measures 0.40 mm (0.0157 inches), making it appropriate for general-purpose finishing and semi-finishing passes where tight radii are required. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops and production environments will find this insert a direct-fit replacement for standard DNMG tooling setups.
This insert is suited for turning operations on steel, stainless, and other materials where the KCU10B grade and AlTiN coating provide adequate hardness and oxidation resistance.
