The KENNAMETAL 7026668 is a DNMG443RN carbide turning insert in the KCP25C grade, designed for precision metal removal in CNC and manual turning applications. The insert features a diamond shape with a 55-degree included angle and a neutral hand orientation. It is coated via CVD with a multilayer MT-TiCN/Al2O3/TiN stack, which provides wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. With 4 cutting edges and an RN chip breaker geometry, this insert suits high-productivity roughing and semi-finishing passes in steel and cast iron. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install these in KENLOC-compatible toolholders.

This insert is engineered for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Primary workpiece materials are steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K). The 0.0469-inch corner radius and chamfered-and-honed cutting edge reduce chipping risk during entry and exit on interrupted surfaces. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Seat the insert fully in the pocket and tighten the clamp to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque using the appropriate torque wrench or key — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating a new edge.
