The KENNAMETAL 7026663 is a DNMG433RN KCP25C grade carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC and manual turning operations. It features a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN and Al2O3 that provides wear resistance and thermal protection during aggressive cuts. The insert has a 55-degree diamond shape, a neutral hand orientation, and a chamfered and honed cutting edge for consistent performance. With four usable cutting edges per insert, it delivers reliable tool life across a range of metal removal applications. This insert is installed and managed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
This insert is suited for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations on steel and cast iron workpieces. The KCP25C grade is positioned for general-purpose and semi-finish to rough turning on ferrous materials. It belongs to the KENLOC series and conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards, making it compatible with standard DNMG-style toolholders used in a wide range of machine tool setups. Its primary workpiece material codes are P and K, covering unalloyed to alloyed steels and gray to nodular cast irons.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production insert for DNMG-style toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO DNMG150412RN specifications. Intended for use on steel and cast iron workpieces in turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked before indexing or replacing the insert. Use the appropriate DNMG-compatible toolholder that supports clamp or pin clamping per the holder manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the insert seat and clamping components for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Verify torque on the clamp screw per the toolholder manufacturer's recommendation before resuming cutting operations.
