The KENNAMETAL 7026548 is a DCMT3252MF-style carbide turning insert in grade KCP25C, designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN and Al2O3 (aluminum oxide) over a carbide substrate, providing thermal resistance and wear protection at elevated cutting speeds. The insert has a diamond shape with a 55-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 1/32-inch corner radius, and a neutral hand orientation. The MF chip breaker geometry produces a chamfered and honed cutting edge suited to light-to-moderate finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert using the screw-on holding method.

This insert is rated for turning, facing, boring, back turning, and back boring operations. Primary workpiece materials are steel (ISO P) and cast iron (ISO K). The 55-degree diamond profile allows access to tight shoulders and contoured profiles.
