The KENNAMETAL 7002520 is a replaceable drill tip designed for use in modular indexable drill systems. It features an 11.1 mm cutting diameter and a 140-degree drill point angle, making it suited for general-purpose drilling in a range of metalworking applications. The tip is manufactured from solid carbide with a fine grain substrate and carries the KC7325 manufacturer grade. A PVD-applied dual coating of TiAlN and TiN provides thermal resistance and wear protection. Through-coolant capability is built in to support higher cutting speeds and extended tool life in production environments. This insert is installed and maintained by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians.

This replaceable drill tip is intended for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium-based materials, corresponding to ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. It is suited for standard drilling, inclined-exit drilling, and stacked-plate drilling operations. The GTP insert geometry and regular helical spiral flute configuration support chip evacuation in these demanding conditions. The tip mounts in an L-seat insert holder and is secured by a clamp holding method. It carries the ISO designation KTFST11100GTPM and belongs to the KTFST series.

Installation Notes

Inspect the L-seat for chips or wear before installing a new tip to ensure proper seating and runout performance.
