Product Description

The KENNAMETAL 7002517 is a replaceable drill tip in the KTFST series, designed for use with compatible indexable drill bodies in demanding metal-cutting applications. The tip measures 11.00 mm in cutting diameter with a 140-degree included point angle and a standard helical flute configuration with two flutes and two margins. It is manufactured from fine grain solid carbide at grade KC7325 and coated with TiAlN and TiN via a PVD process. Coolant-through capability is built in, supporting high-pressure coolant delivery directly through the tip for improved chip evacuation and tool life in deep-hole drilling operations. Seat size K interfaces with compatible KTFST drill bodies.

This drill tip is suited for production drilling in both job shop and manufacturing environments. Primary target materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. Typical applications include straight-entry drilling, inclined exit drilling, and stacked-plate drilling. The insert geometry is GTP. Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians setting up indexable drill tooling on CNC or manual machining centers.
