The KENNAMETAL 6114185 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing operations in demanding materials. Built to the UJDE series specification, it features a 1-1/4 inch mill diameter with a 0.06 inch corner radius, six flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, and an AlTiN PVD coating applied for thermal resistance and extended tool life. The extra-long 9-1/2 inch overall length and 6-1/2 inch length of cut make it well-suited for deep-cavity and long-reach milling applications. The Safe-Lock shank design provides pull-out resistance in high-feed operations. Installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in precision metalworking environments.
This end mill is designed for finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and hard materials. The close-pitch, six-flute geometry and high helix angle support smooth surface finishes in difficult-to-machine workpiece materials including titanium and nickel-based superalloys. The centercutting configuration allows plunge entry where required. Compatible toolholding systems include HC-HSK Form A, HC-CV Form AD, Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line Inch KM63XMZ, and HPMC High Performance Milling Chucks-CV Form B/AD. This tool is appropriate for both vertical and horizontal machining center applications where rigidity and runout control are maintained.
Compatible toolholding systems include HC-HSK Form A, HC-CV Form AD, Hydraulic Chuck Standard Line Inch KM63XMZ, and HPMC High Performance Milling Chucks-CV Form B/AD. Suitable for primary workpiece materials coded P, M, S, and H: steel, stainless steel, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Confirm toolholder bore and interface compatibility with the 1-1/4 inch Safe-Lock shank before mounting. Inspect shank and collet bore for debris or runout before tightening. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the selected toolholder type, and verify tool runout with an indicator before beginning cuts.
