The KENNAMETAL 1156207 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal cutting in demanding machining applications. Manufactured to the ANGT160608PPERLG ISO designation, this right-hand parallelogram insert carries a KC725M grade with a multilayer PVD coating of TiN, TiCN, and TiN. The coating improves wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted cuts and high-feed passes. At 0.25 inches thick and 0.4331 inches wide, the insert seats securely via a screw-hold method. A 0.0315-inch corner radius and a 30-degree rake angle work together to reduce cutting forces and extend tool life across a range of workpiece materials.
This insert is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, and S. The LG chip breaker geometry manages chip flow in both roughing and finishing passes. It is suited for use in CNC machining centers and milling setups where consistent edge life and predictable chip control are required. Machinists working in aerospace, general metalworking, and precision manufacturing will find this insert applicable to face milling, shoulder milling, and similar operations. Insert size code is 2542 and the series designation is ANGT.
Designed for use in ANGT-series milling toolholders that accept the ANGT160608 insert form. Compatible material grades C2, C3, and C4 are listed for this insert. Verify toolholder bore diameter accepts a 0.1732-inch mounting hole before installation.
Insert installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key for the clamping screw and follow the toolholder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque procedure. Inspect the insert pocket for debris or damage before seating a new insert, as contamination can cause improper seating and premature edge failure.
