The KENNAMETAL 1023675 is an indexable chamfer end mill designed for precision chamfering and beveling operations on machined components. It features a 30-degree lead angle and accepts a cutting diameter range of 0.46 inches to 0.787 inches, making it versatile across a range of workpiece sizes. The tool runs a single SDEB 26152 insert secured by a screw-holding method, housed in a KIPR-style toolholder with a Weldon Flat shank for positive rotational drive. With an overall length of 3 inches and a maximum depth of cut of 0.26 inches, this end mill is suited for controlled chamfer passes in production machining environments. It is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications where consistent chamfer geometry is required. The 0.46 to 0.787 inch cutting diameter range covers common edge-break and chamfer requirements on steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous workpieces. The KIPR toolholder style and Weldon Flat shank are standard configurations found on a wide range of machine spindles, making this tool straightforward to set up in most shop environments. A maximum spindle speed of 11,000 RPM supports both light finishing passes and moderate material removal rates on chamfer profiles.
Designed for use with SDEB 26152 series indexable inserts in KIPR-style toolholders. Compatible with milling machines and machining centers equipped with a spindle accepting a 12.70 mm shank diameter with Weldon Flat drive.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the Weldon Flat shank fully into the holder and verify set screw engagement before operation. Confirm insert seating and screw torque per the insert manufacturer's recommendation before running the tool at speed.
