The KENNAMETAL 1023674 is an indexable chamfer end mill designed for chamfering and angled face milling operations on metalworking machining centers and manual mills. It features a 30-degree lead angle and accepts two SDEB 26152 style inserts secured by screw-type insert holding, providing a reliable cutting edge that can be indexed or replaced without removing the toolholder from the spindle. The overall length is 3.25 inches with a maximum depth of cut of 0.26 inches. The KIPR toolholder style and Weldon Flat shank provide positive rotational drive and straightforward setup in compatible tool chucks and collet systems. This tool weighs 0.366 pounds and is sold individually.
This end mill is suited for chamfering drilled holes, deburring part edges, and producing angled entry cuts on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in production and job shop environments. The cutting diameter range of 0.75 inches to 1.077 inches makes it appropriate for medium-bore chamfering work on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It is typically set up by machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators working in metalworking, fabrication, and precision machining shops. The two-flute, two-insert configuration supports efficient chip evacuation during intermittent and continuous chamfer passes.
Designed for use with KIPR-style toolholders accepting a Weldon Flat shank with a 19.05 mm shank diameter. Insert compatibility is specific to the SDEB 26152 insert style. Verify toolholder and insert specifications against your machine spindle interface before ordering.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is placed in an appropriate lockout state before changing or indexing inserts. Torque the insert-retention screw to the insert manufacturer's specified value using the appropriate Torx or hex key driver. Confirm runout and tool projection with a dial indicator before committing to a production cut.
