The ISCAR 6491475 is a solid carbide boring bar designed for internal diameter boring operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built with a 5 mm shank diameter and a 40 mm overall length, it reaches a minimum bore diameter of 0.1969 inches (5.00 mm) and a maximum bore depth of 0.9449 inches (24.00 mm). The tool features a TiAlN finish coating and is manufactured to the IC908 grade, a submicron carbide grade suited for demanding cutting conditions. Right-hand cutting geometry makes this bar suitable for standard lathe orientation. Machinists and toolroom operators working with tight-tolerance bores at small diameters will find this bar appropriate for precision finish and semi-finish passes.
This boring bar is intended for small-diameter internal boring applications in precision machining environments, including production turning and toolroom work. Its compact shank and short overall length make it well-suited for shallow, tight bores where larger tooling will not fit. The IC908 grade and TiAlN coating support use on a range of workpiece materials, including steels and stainless steels under moderate to high cutting speeds.

Do not exceed the machine tool manufacturer's recommended overhang ratio for the shank diameter.
