The ISCAR 6411176 is a solid carbide boring bar engineered for precision internal boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.2362 inches (6.00 mm) and a maximum bore depth of 0.551 inches, this bar is suited for tight-tolerance small-bore work where rigidity and wear resistance are critical. The TiCN and TiN finish coatings extend tool life and reduce built-up edge. Manufactured to ISCAR grade IC228, it delivers consistent performance in a compact overall length of 1.1811 inches. Right-hand cutting geometry is standard. Installation and use are typical for qualified machinists and CNC tooling technicians.
This boring bar is suited for small-diameter internal boring applications in production and job-shop environments. The 6.00 mm shank diameter and compact overall length make it appropriate for use in Swiss-style lathes, CNC turning centers, and small-bore machining fixtures where space constraints limit tooling options. The IC228 carbide grade is well matched to steel and cast iron workpieces at moderate to high cutting speeds.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended clamping depth before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator before taking a cut. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing or adjusting tooling. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping torque range for this shank diameter.
