The ISCAR 6405262 is a solid carbide double-ended grooving insert from the Cut-Grip series, designed for external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries grade IC8250, a PVD-coated carbide grade with an Al2O3 finish engineered for wear resistance on demanding workpiece materials. The insert delivers a 5.55 mm cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 3.30 mm. A positive rake angle of 7 degrees and an E chip breaker geometry promote chip control and reduce cutting forces. Clamp-style insert holding secures the insert in compatible Cut-Grip toolholders during high-feed passes.
