The ISCAR 6403911 is a solid carbide corner radius boring bar designed for internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. It cuts right hand and features a 0.0492 inch corner radius that produces controlled, consistent fillets at the bottom of bored features. With a minimum bore diameter of 0.315 inches and a maximum bore depth of 0.1969 inches, this bar is suited for small-diameter, shallow internal profiles. The TiAlN and TiN finish coatings improve wear resistance and extend tool life in steel and cast iron applications. Manufacturer grade IC1008 is an ISCAR-designated carbide substrate optimized for these coating systems.
This boring bar is used in precision machining environments where small-bore internal turning is required. Typical applications include finishing bores in hydraulic components, valve bodies, pump housings, and other tight-tolerance workpieces. The solid carbide construction provides the rigidity needed to minimize deflection in short-reach, small-diameter bores. Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide boring bar for use in standard boring bar holders and CNC lathe turrets that accept a 7.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing any tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped securely in the tool holder to the holder manufacturer's specifications before initiating a cut.
