The ISCAR 6403885 is a replaceable carbide milling tip designed for thread milling operations in the Multimaster and SolidThread modular tooling systems. This tip carries the full designation MM TRD16-M60-05P-3T06 and features a 0.618-inch cutting diameter with a 90-degree included angle and a 90-degree lead angle. The substrate is sub-micrograin carbide with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability across a broad range of workpiece materials. Three flutes provide balanced chip evacuation during threading passes. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trades do not apply here — this part is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in metalworking environments.
This thread milling tip is suited for right-hand thread milling on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H). It fits into the Multimaster and SolidThread modular quick-change system, making it a practical choice for production threading operations where tip replacement is preferred over full tool replacement. Insert size designation is D16-M60-05P. Coolant-through capability is not available on this tip. It conforms to ANSI standards and carries the IC528 grade designation in the ISCAR catalog.
Designed for use with the ISCAR Multimaster and SolidThread modular tooling systems. Insert size D16-M60-05P. Verify arbor and body compatibility before ordering.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the milling tip. Follow the torque and seating procedure specified in the ISCAR Multimaster tooling documentation for the corresponding arbor body — do not use generic torque values. Inspect the seating interface and locating features for debris or damage before mounting the tip.
