It cuts right-hand and reaches a minimum bore diameter of 0.0394 inches (1.00 mm), making it suitable for precision work in tight bores. The bar has a maximum bore depth of 0.2559 inches (6.50 mm) and an overall length of 0.8661 inches. A TiCN finish coating — titanium carbonitride — improves surface hardness and wear resistance. Manufactured to ISCAR grade IC228, this bar suits high-speed finishing and chamfering passes where dimensional accuracy is critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users.
This chamfering boring bar is suited for small-bore internal chamfering on turned or milled parts, particularly where bore entry geometry requires a precise angular cut. The compact shank diameter of 4.00 mm and short overall length of 0.8661 inches make it appropriate for swiss-type lathes, CNC turning centers, and small-bore boring operations in both production and job-shop environments. The 0.002-inch corner radius supports clean transitions at the chamfer edge without chipping on hardened or abrasive materials.
