The ISCAR 6403545 is a solid carbide profile boring bar designed for internal profiling operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a minimum bore diameter of 0.1102 inches (2.80 mm), a maximum bore depth of 0.3543 inches (9.00 mm), and a right-hand cutting direction. The tool is manufactured from solid carbide in ISCAR grade IC908 and carries a TiAlN finish coating, which supports wear resistance in ferrous and hardened workpiece materials. With an overall length of 0.9449 inches and a corner radius of 0.0039 inches, this bar is suited for tight-tolerance, small-diameter internal profile work. It is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians.
This profile boring bar is intended for small-bore internal profiling applications where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. The 0.1102-inch minimum bore capability makes it appropriate for micro-bore and precision-bore operations on Swiss-style lathes, CNC turning centers, and multi-axis machining platforms. The IC908 carbide grade is formulated for interrupted and continuous cuts in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The TiAlN coating extends tool life in dry and semi-dry cutting conditions. This tool is typically used in production environments where repeated internal profile features must be held to close tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide profile boring bar for use in standard boring bar tool holders accepting a 4.00 mm shank diameter on CNC turning centers and Swiss-style lathes.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank firmly in the appropriate boring bar holder to the tool holder manufacturer's specified clamping torque before use. Verify spindle direction and cutting parameters match the right-hand cutting designation before engaging the workpiece. Inspect the cutting edge and coating condition before each use and replace the bar if chipping or coating failure is observed.
