The ISCAR 6154732 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance holemaking in demanding materials. Built to DIN 6537 specification, it features a 5.50 mm cutting diameter with a 140-degree point angle and a TiAlN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting conditions. The overall length is 66.00 mm with a 28.00 mm flute length, giving a 3xD flute-to-diameter ratio suited to moderate-depth holes. The straight cylindrical shank measures 6 mm in diameter and 36 mm in length. This drill belongs to the ISCAR SCD-AP3N series and is manufactured from fine-grain carbide for edge stability and wear resistance. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC and manual drilling operations.
The 6154732 is rated for use across a broad range of primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, hardened materials, and high-temperature alloys. The right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry supports chip evacuation in these varied materials. With a maximum drilling depth of 20.00 mm and a drill point length of 0.90 mm, it is suited to short-to-moderate blind and through-hole operations in production and job-shop environments where consistent diameter tolerance to h6 is required.
Designed for use in standard straight-shank toolholders and drill chucks accepting a 6 mm shank diameter. Rated for steel (P), stainless steel (M), cast iron (K), aluminum and non-ferrous (N), hardened materials (H), and high-temperature alloys (S) per ISO material group classification. Part of the ISCAR SCD-AP3N series.
This drill is installed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers or drill presses equipped with a compatible straight-shank toolholder or keyed chuck. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the full recommended grip depth in the holder to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Coolant-through is not supported on this drill; apply external cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material when operating at elevated speeds or feed rates.
