It carries grade IC20, an uncoated solid carbide grade suited for universal workpiece materials across a broad range of applications. The insert delivers a 2.20 mm cutting width with a maximum depth of cut of 18.00 mm, making it appropriate for moderate-to-deep groove profiles. The JS chip breaker geometry promotes positive rake cutting action at 7 degrees, aiding chip control and reducing cutting forces. This insert is installed by machinists and CNC turning technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is suited for grooving and parting operations on a variety of workpiece materials, including steel, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys, reflected by the universal primary workpiece material designation and ISO material codes H, K, M, N, and S. The double-ended configuration provides two usable cutting edges per insert, extending service life.
