The ISCAR 6097025 is a solid carbide double-ended cutoff and parting insert designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to Do-Grip series toolholder standards, this insert features a 2.2 mm cutting width (0.0866 inches), a 15-degree right-hand lead angle, and a 7-degree relief angle. The IC328 grade uses a PVD coating process for enhanced edge integrity at elevated cutting temperatures. A 0.20 mm corner radius (0.0079 inches) helps control chip formation during tight-tolerance cutoff work. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible Do-Grip toolholders.

This insert is rated for parting and grooving of superalloys and a range of metallic workpiece materials. Installation Notes

Insert replacement should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician with the machine in a full stop and locked-out state per applicable machine safety procedures. Use the correct torque wrench and insert key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the insert without cracking the carbide substrate. Do not strike or force the insert into the pocket. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert.
