The ISCAR 5667177 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It carries a 3/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.02 inch corner radius, four helical flutes, and a TiAlN (AlTiN) PVD coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The variable helix and variable index geometry reduce harmonic chatter during aggressive passes, making this tool effective for both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. Overall length is 3 inches with a 3/4 inch length of cut. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in general machining and tool-and-die environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on ferrous metals, stainless grades, cast iron, nickel-based superalloys, titanium alloys, and hardened materials. The short flute length and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and hydraulic toolholders. It is a single-end design from the ISCAR ECKI-H4R-CF Chatter Free Solid Mill Ti-Turbo series, intended for high-efficiency milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers where vibration control and surface finish are priorities.
Designed for use with standard collet, shrink-fit, or hydraulic toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, S, H). Part of the ISCAR ECKI-H4R-CF Chatter Free series.
Install and remove this end mill with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an e-stop or locked-out state. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention device according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine guarding requirements during setup and operation.
