The ISCAR 5622933 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2-inch diameter cutting head with a 0.03-inch corner radius, a 3/4-inch length of cut, and three helical flutes with a variable helix geometry. The variable helix design reduces harmonic chatter during aggressive cuts, making it suitable for both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. At 3 inches overall length with a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank, this end mill fits standard toolholders and is appropriate for use by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general metalworking environments.
This end mill is built for cutting non-ferrous metals including aluminum alloys, copper, and brass. The uncoated fine-grain carbide substrate performs well in high-speed aluminum machining where coating buildup can be a concern. The short-length configuration with 1.5-inch reach length provides rigidity for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, meaning it can plunge as well as cut laterally. The ECAI-H3-CF series designation indicates this is part of ISCAR's Chatter Free end mill line, purpose-built for stable cutting in light-structure fixtures and long-reach setups.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 1/2-inch straight shank. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Part of the ISCAR ECAI-H3-CF Chatter Free series.
Install in a compatible toolholder and torque set screws or collet nuts according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Verify runout at the tool tip does not exceed acceptable limits for the intended application before engaging the workpiece. Ensure the machine spindle and any coolant systems are fully off before changing or inspecting the tool. This tool does not support coolant-through; external coolant or mist lubrication should be directed at the cutting zone when required by the application.
