The ISCAR 5505286 is a replaceable drill tip designed for modular drilling systems in metal-cutting applications. Built from solid carbide with a submicron grain material grade and an IC908 manufacturer grade, this tip delivers consistent cutting performance in demanding conditions. The PVD-applied TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life. It features a 0.5790-inch (15.00mm) cutting diameter, a 140-degree drill point angle, and a helical flute design with two flutes. The insert geometry is K-style, seated in a size-14 insert seat and held in place by a clamp. This tip is installed by machinists and tooling technicians working in production drilling environments.

This drill tip is suited for hole-making and drilling operations in a range of workpiece materials. The primary target material is cast iron (ISO material code K). Secondary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO codes P, M, S, and H). The IDI-SK series tip fits modular drill body systems that accept the IDI 147-SK insert format. It is appropriate for both dedicated production runs and job-shop drilling where quick tip replacement reduces downtime. Coolant-through capability is not supported on this tip.
