The ISCAR 5503731 is an uncoated solid carbide turning insert in the WNMG 431-NF geometry, part of the Isoturn series. It features an 80-degree trigon insert shape, a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, and a 1/64 inch (0.0157 inch) corner radius. The insert carries a clearance code of N, tolerance code of M, and a positive rake angle, making it well suited for precision turning applications. At 8.70 mm (0.3425 inch) insert length and 3/16 inch thickness, this insert fits standard WNMG-style toolholders. It is installed by licensed machinists and CNC operators on turning centers and lathes.
