The ISCAR 3603465 is a right-hand PWLN-style indexable turning toolholder in the Heliturn LD series, designed for negative-rake external turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. The toolholder features a 0.75 x 0.75 inch square shank and an overall length of 4.5 inches, making it a compact, rigid platform for precision turning work. Insert retention is handled by a lever-clamp mechanism, which provides repeatable seating and fast insert changes without disturbing the cutting-edge position. The rake angle is -6 degrees, consistent with PWLN geometry for aggressive chip formation on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Installation and setup are performed by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians.
This toolholder is suited for external turning applications in production and job-shop environments. The PWLN style is commonly used on turning centers where a 75-degree lead angle and negative-rake insert geometry are required for facing, profiling, and straight turning passes. The head length measures 1.0 inch and the back-of-bar to cutting-edge dimension is 1.25 inches, supporting consistent tool offset entry. The toolholder does not include coolant-through capability, making it appropriate for flood-coolant or dry-cutting setups where internal coolant delivery is not required.

Insert inscribed circle diameter is 0.375 inches.
Toolholder installation and insert changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician with the machine powered down and the spindle locked. Secure the shank in the turret or tool block to the machine manufacturer's specified torque using calibrated tooling and measure tool offset after each insert index. Do not use the lever clamp with insert sizes or geometries outside of those listed in the compatibility data, as improper seating can cause insert breakage or workpiece damage.
