The ISCAR 3602894 is a right-hand PDJN-style indexable turning toolholder from the Isoturn series, designed for negative-rake external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The holder features a 1 inch by 1 inch square shank and an overall length of 6 inches, providing rigid setup geometry suited to high-material-removal-rate applications. Insert clamping is accomplished via a top clamp mechanism, securing DN-style inserts at a fixed rake angle of -6 degrees. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install and index this toolholder as part of routine insert-change cycles.
This toolholder is intended for general external turning applications in production and job-shop environments. Its right-hand cutting direction makes it appropriate for standard left-to-right turning passes on a conventional lathe orientation. The 1.4 inch head length and 1.25 inch back-of-bar to cutting-edge dimension support consistent tool offset programming. No coolant-through capability is present, so flood or mist coolant delivery must come from an external source at the machine turret.

Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Before mounting or indexing inserts, ensure the machine spindle is at a full stop and the turret is in a safe index position with the control in an appropriate hold state. Seat the shank fully into the turret pocket and torque the clamping screws according to the turret manufacturer's specifications using calibrated torque tooling. When indexing worn inserts, inspect the insert seat and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating a fresh insert edge.
