The ISCAR 3601358 is a right-hand indexable boring bar designed for internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Built to the S-MWLN toolholder style, it accepts trigon-shaped WN.. 332 series inserts secured by a screw-clamp holding method. The bar has a 1.0 inch minimum bore diameter and a 3/4 inch shank diameter, making it suitable for moderate-bore internal work where rigidity and insert indexability are priorities. Overall length is 10.0 inches, with a maximum bore depth of 1.1 inches and a -5 degree lead angle. Rake geometry is negative axial and negative radial. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this toolholder.
The 3601358 is intended for turning applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a trigon insert profile provides the needed edge geometry. The S-MWLN style is a common bore bar configuration in production turning environments. With a center-to-cutting-edge distance of 0.5 inches and right-hand cutting direction, this bar fits standard right-hand boring setups on most turret and gang-tool lathes. It is a single-use-direction tool and is not configured for multi-use or left-hand applications. The Isoturn series designation places this bar within ISCARs standard modular turning line.
Designed for use with WN.. 332 series trigon inserts in S-MWLN compatible toolholding systems. Part of the ISCAR Isoturn series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off and the spindle locked before mounting or removing the toolholder. Verify shank diameter compatibility with the tool block or turret bore before installation. Tighten the insert clamping screw to the insert manufacturer's recommended procedure using the appropriate torx or hex key. Confirm boring bar overhang does not exceed recommended length-to-diameter ratios for the material and cutting conditions in use.
