The ISCAR 3601219 is a right-hand A-SVUN indexable boring bar designed for internal turning operations on CNC lathes and machining centers. It accepts VN.. 2.5 diamond-shaped inserts held by screw clamping, with a negative rake angle of -14 degrees for controlled chip formation on a range of workpiece materials. The 1 inch shank diameter and 8 inch overall length provide rigid tool setup for accurate bore finishing. Through-coolant capability directs cutting fluid directly to the cutting zone, supporting tool life and chip evacuation in deep bore applications. This tool is part of the ISCAR Isoturn series and conforms to ISO 13399 tooling data standards.
This boring bar is suited for intermediate to production-volume internal turning where consistent bore geometry and surface finish are required. With a minimum bore diameter of 1.24 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1.38 inches, it fits turning setups targeting bores in that range. The right-hand cutting direction and negative rake geometry make it appropriate for use on conventional CNC lathe turrets. Through-coolant support makes it a practical choice for shops running higher feed rates or difficult-to-machine alloys where heat management at the cutting edge is critical.
Designed for use with VN.. 2.5 compatible insert size code diamond-shaped inserts in the ISCAR Isoturn A-SVUN series. Insert holding is by screw method. Verify insert grade and geometry selection against workpiece material prior to setup.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with CNC lathe tooling setup. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe indexed position before mounting or removing the boring bar. Confirm shank bore fit and clamping torque meet the machine tool manufacturer specifications for the turret pocket size. Through-coolant connection should be verified for proper seating and pressure rating before operation.
