Product Description

The ISCAR 3401233 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Part of the ECI-4-VF series, it features a 1/2 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 1/8 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating delivers thermal and wear resistance during extended cutting cycles. With a variable index geometry and four right-hand spiral flutes, this tool is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.

This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where a Weldon flat shank toolholder is used. Its extended reach design and medium length classification make it appropriate for cavity work, profiling, and slotting operations. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Compatibility

For use with toolholder systems accepting a 1/2 inch shank with h6 diameter tolerance.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer specifications for clamping torque and runout. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are fully de-energized and at rest before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and Weldon flat alignment in the toolholder before tightening set screws. Confirm runout with a dial indicator prior to the first cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
