The ISCAR 3401191 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that helps reduce stress concentrations and extend tool life on profiling and slotting operations. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with variable index pitch supports both roughing and finishing passes. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides heat and wear resistance when cutting hard and abrasive materials. This tool is intended for use in CNC machining centers by machinists and tooling technicians working in production and job shop environments.
The 3401191 is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. With an extended reach design, a 1 inch Weldon flat shank, and a 6 inch overall length, it suits deep-cavity and extended-reach milling applications where rigidity and runout control are critical. The medium-length flute geometry and submicron carbide grade make it well suited to tight-tolerance work on difficult-to-machine alloys. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed for use with standard Weldon flat toolholders accepting a 1 inch shank diameter. ISCAR catalog reference ECI-4 1.0-3.0W06VF6, series ECI-4-VF. Compatible with CNC machining centers running right-hand cutting direction. Primary workpiece material codes P, M, K, S, and H cover steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys and titanium, and hard materials respectively.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the toolholder and torque the set screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification before use. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping. Power down and lock out the spindle before any tool change, and confirm the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips or coolant residue prior to seating.
