The ISCAR 3401181 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It carries a 3/4 inch diameter cutting edge, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, with a 4 inch overall length and a 3/4 inch Weldon flat shank. The tool features a variable index geometry combined with an AlTiCrSiN PVD coating that supports extended tool life in abrasive and hard workpiece materials. With four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, it is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job-shop or production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is designed for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. The extended-reach geometry and medium length classification make it well suited for pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations where reach beyond a standard shank is required. Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing the tool. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the set screw in the toolholder and torque the set screw per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production use, as excessive runout shortens tool life and degrades surface finish.
