The ISCAR 3401145 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding production environments. Part of the ECI-4-VF series, it features a 1 inch diameter cutting face, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry is designed for both roughing and finishing operations. An AlTiCrSiN PVD coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. Variable index spacing reduces chatter and vibration during aggressive cuts. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production machining environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The extended-reach configuration with a 3 inch reach length makes it effective for deep-cavity and shoulder milling where standard-reach tools cannot access the workpiece. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into the material. The Weldon flat shank with h6 tolerance provides secure clamping in compatible toolholders, reducing runout in high-speed applications. This tool is appropriate for horizontal and vertical machining centers running modern carbide-grade toolpaths.
Designed for use with compatible Weldon flat toolholders. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as identified by ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. Catalog reference ECI-4 1.0-3.0W03VF6.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a clean, undamaged toolholder and verify runout before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating grade. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, particularly when machining superalloys or hardened steels.
