The ISCAR 3401082 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining environments. Part of the ECI-4-VF series, it features a 0.625 inch mill diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a variable index geometry. The AlTiCrSiN PVD coating delivers elevated hardness and heat resistance, making it suitable for both roughing and finishing passes. A Weldon flat shank and h6 shank diameter tolerance ensure secure toolholder engagement and repeatable runout. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this tool where tight tolerances and aggressive material removal rates are required simultaneously.
This end mill is engineered for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, S, and H. The extended reach configuration and long flute length make it well suited for deep pocket milling, shoulder milling, and slot work where standard-length tools cannot reach the full depth of cut. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction match conventional CNC milling setups. It mounts directly into a compatible Weldon flat toolholder, which is the standard interface for this shank style in production machining.
Designed for use with Weldon flat toolholders accepting a 0.625 inch shank diameter. Intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills running steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Catalog reference ECI-4 625-2.25W015VF5.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Confirm the toolholder bore and set screw alignment with the Weldon flat before torquing. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's maximum overhang recommendation for this shank diameter, as excessive overhang increases deflection and reduces tool life.
