The ISCAR 3399268 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 0.06 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a coarse pitch and 45-degree helix angle. The DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) PVD coating extends tool life and reduces friction when cutting aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 7/8 inch length of cut, this short-series end mill handles both roughing and finishing operations. It is center-cutting, making it capable of plunge entry. The straight-cylindrical 1/2 inch shank fits standard toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is engineered for non-ferrous metal cutting, including aluminum alloys, copper, and other materials in the N material grade classification. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. The shank must be fully seated and secured in a compatible toolholder or collet chuck; verify runout with a dial indicator before production use. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut; overhang beyond the recommended depth increases deflection and risk of tool breakage.
