The ISCAR 3399222 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 0.25 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, three right-hand spiral flutes, and a 45-degree helix angle. The tool carries a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) PVD coating, which reduces friction and extends tool life in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 1.25 inch reach, this extra-long configuration suits deep-pocket and extended-reach operations. It is centercutting and capable of both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments install this tool in standard straight-shank toolholders.
This end mill is designed for milling non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass. The coarse pitch and DLC coating make it well-suited for high-speed cutting strategies where chip evacuation and surface finish are priorities. The extra-long reach of 1.25 inches allows access to deep slots, pockets, and contoured surfaces that standard-length tools cannot reach. It is intended for use in CNC machining centers with a compatible straight-cylindrical toolholder. The single-end configuration means the cutting geometry is on one end only.
Designed for use with straight-cylindrical toolholders. The ISCAR catalog number for this tool is ECAI-B3 .25-1.3CR03-4EC, part of the ECAI-B3-EC series. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials.
This tool is installed by machinists or CNC setup technicians in a straight-cylindrical toolholder sized for a 0.25 inch shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to protect tool life and surface finish. Follow all machine guarding and PPE requirements per shop safety standards.
